In Steve's own words...
"When I was a young boy I used to draw a lot. Art and the female body always intrigued me. When my Mother would send me to my room to do homework, I would draw. Mom was torn in her feelings about this, as I wasn't doing my assignments. I was drawing nudes. But the drawings were very detailed and well done. She didn't know weather to yell at me or praise me. (Poor woman)
As I got older and became involved in our family business and my time for drawing seemed to diminish. Eventually my art transformed into photography. I started shooting wildlife and landscapes. Something was still missing so I decided to aim my camera at people.
There's nothing better than hearing a person's reaction when they see what I have captured with my eye and my camera. I seem to see things that others fail to notice. Maybe it's my need to have my photos look just a little different from all the rest. Maybe it's the artist trying to do something other than homework.
As I ventured into capturing the human image the question always arose, ‘Who do I take pictures of?’
Well, being lucky enough to be married to the most beautiful woman I have ever seen I decided to practice on my wife, Michelle. I still to this day love to photograph her. I guess it's my way of adoring her in a different way. She’s not always up to being the subject of my hobby, but she is always an inspiration - and a good sport, too. Thanks Baby.
I truly believe everyone has a beauty. My goal is to find it and capture it - for you and for me."
